As a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, I have been employed and educated since 2013. While attending the Royal Military College of Canada, I participated in a wide array of leadership opportunities, while also playing varsity soccer at the OUA level. After graduating in May 2017 with an Honours in Business Administration, I began my logistics training in Borden, Ontario. In December 2017, I started my first position working Logistics with the Royal Canadian Navy. My first position was the Head of Logistics at Fleet Diving Unit Pacific (FDU (P)), located in Esquimalt, British Columbia. During my time at FDU (P) I was directly in charge of finance, supply, HR, contracting, and food services, supporting 120 members at the Unit. From this experience I learned how to work in a high operational environment, supporting members deploying on exercises and operations across the world. After a successful year, I moved into a position focusing on supply chain and contracting, supporting all deployable units at CFB Esquimalt. Soon after this I began my Assistant Head of Department position on board HMCS Winnipeg, where I was the second in command of the logistics department, compiling of a Supply, Finance, Food Services, Non-Public Funds, and Human Resources sections, with approximately 60 staff. During my time on board, I successfully completed my Office of the Day Board (take control of the ships daily routine on behalf of the Commanding Officer), as well as my Head of Department Board (panel board, scenario based questions on Head of Department of Logistics roles and responsibilities). In January of 2020, I was then posted to CFB Esquimalt Base Logistics as the Operations Officer. While at Base Logistics, I was in charge of all liaison with outside agencies for Logistics purposes, organizing and managing all COVID Public Health Measures across the base, including distribution and management of COVID PPE to all Units across CFB Esquimalt. In July of 2021, I was again posted, this time to Kingston, Ontario at CFB Kingston, 1st Canadian Division HQ. I was posted here as the Finance Officer. While here, I have participated in Multinational Exercises in Germany and Great Britain supporting NATO. I am also on the Disaster Assistance and Relief Team (DART), on a 72 hour notice to deploy anywhere in the world. I currently am working in a position that is two ranks above my current rank of Lieutenant Navy (Captain equivalent), with a smaller staff of 4 members. I report directly to the Chief of Staff, while supporting a Major General in charge of 1st Canadian Division.
