Manage the Commissioners land portfolio as obligated by the Commissioner's Land Act, Nunavut Land Claim Act, Cities Towns and Villages Act and Nunavut Planning Act while virtually completing projects with decentralized staff.• Lead the land administration role for the GN, managing the Kitikmeot region and providing advice and legal process instruction to facilitate land transaction documents for real estate transactions conforming to the Nunavut Land Titles Office. • Embrace Inuit values and culture through training and management of Hamlet Planning and Lands Administrators (PLAs) in the region, by training staff on Acts (enabling legislation) and policy affecting Hamlet instruments like the Community Plan and Zoning By-Laws, Hamlets Act, and Planning Act in an increasingly virtual environment. • Support and nurture decision making for long and short term land needs within region, on a community by community basis by assisting planning staff in completing business case analysis to support land decisions with stakeholders.
