Supervisory Policy Analyst
Current•Supervise 5 Workforce Analysts who work on legislative and policy development, Congressional correspondence, Congressional briefings and hearings, strategic planning, performance management, data analysis, and other activities to address complex problems relating to workforce development and in support of the agency’s mission•Direct and perform the analyses of policy and program issues which include preparing Congressional reports, presentations, memoranda, and talking points.•Perform analyses of Congressional hearing reports to determine major issues and problem areas likely to be raised during Congressional testimony.•Draft talking points for Congressional testimony, Congressional briefings, and external presentations used by agency leadership•Review draft legislation related to the workforce system and propose legislative changes consistent with agency priorities and track and analyze ongoing legislative initiatives to ensure that the agency’s priorities are effectively addressed.•Serve as the agency liaison with the Department’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs and coordinate working groups and cross-functional teams to address Congressional inquiries, policy positions, and program audits.•Manage the agency’s legislative technical assistance process, which includes analyzing and translating subject matter expert input into practical and concise recommendations for Congress and ensuring policy consistency from the agency.
