GeoStructures provides design-build construction services for ground improvement, (Geopiers, Rammed Aggregate Piers, and Rigid Inclusions), deep foundations (Driven and Cast-in-place Piles, Helical Piles, Micropiles), walls (Soundwalls, Retaining Walls, MSE Walls, Post and Panel Walls) and slope stability applications (SRT Plate Piles, Drilled Shafts, Geogrid Slope Reinforcement, and Landslide Stabilization). These technologies are used to solve our customers' complex geotechnical construction issues in a manner that provides value, often resulting in cost or time savings for the project.In my role as Area Manager with GeoStuctures, I am tasked with introducing the company to the Florida and Georgia markets with an emphasis on Sales and Project Executive services across the region.

Expanding the ECS geographical footprint in Florida with a start up office in Gainesville. In this role, I am responsible for Office Management, Business Development/Sales, Recruiting/Hiring, Employee Development, and Principal Engineering.Starting the Gainesville office included securing office space and negotiating lease agreements, building an FDOT and CMEC accredited laboratory, and hiring a staff to support operations across the region. I was fortunate enough to obtain Principal Engineer licensure with ECS for our geotechnical design and construction testing operations, and have served as Principal Engineer for various projects across the state.

Managing various geotechnical engineering projects from conception through completion. Working along side structural, architectural, civil, and contracting consultants to best determine and implement engineering solutions in a timely manner. Engineering projects include forensic sinkhole studies, forensic structural and subsidence evaluations, geotechnical site explorations for new construction, subsurface improvement design, foundation stabilization design, deep and shallow foundation design, drainage and stormwater design, pavement design, and retaining wall design.

Working closely with subsurface and foundation stabilization contractors to properly implement geotechnical engineering solutions for problem subsurface conditions including sinkholes, expansive soils, unconsolidated soils, and organic soils.

Performing various engineering tasks under the direction of Professional Engineers while moving forward with my education. Engineering tasks include but are not limited to site reconnaissance, hand auger borings, and AutoCAD drawings.
