Accountable for providing a single point of contact for users and IT service providers with respect to IT asset and service incidents, service requests, security access requests and training requests performed on behalf of the Enbridge Electric Connections Inc. Technology unit. Documenting policies and procedures for Technology Framework and creating reports on performance metrics as part of the IT asset management function.

Duties include; receiving calls and handling caller’s computer problems in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshooting computer problems such as; resetting of users password and unlocking users account using Active Directory and Novell Directory Service, reconfiguring MS Office Suite Applications, resetting users password on Mainframes for specialized software applications, and help the end user continue their day to day operations with the least amount of down time as possible.

Accountable for ensuring the office’s local area network, wide area network, its servers and other services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Also accountable for guaranteeing employee access to the network services as needed both within the office or through remote access. Scope of position is expansive and includes departmental direction and full design, installation, support, training, administration, and management authority for:- LAN/WAN Network Services - PC Desktop Systems- 24x7 Data Center Computer Operations - Database Administration- Application Systems - Help Desk Operations- Web/Internet Design & Operations
