I began working for Halliburton in May 2013 in our Production Enhancement field (frac). I was placed in the pump shop and during my three months within the pump shop I learned how to thoroughly disassemble our fluid ends and rebuild the pumps so that they were able to return to the field in a day’s time frame. I also learned how to diagnose if the fluid end was destroyed or still operable. After three months I was offered a job in our warehouse for a field materials coordinator. I fell in love with supply chain management from this job. I started out in our receiving area and was responsible for goods receipting all materials that our warehouse received in. I also would help out in our GI area as well as needed. All these responsibilities were taken care of by myself and two other people which required us to be fast and efficient in every aspect of our jobs. From there I was promoted to taken care of our PE department due to prior experience in the area. This new job role required me to have control over all the materials ordering and monitoring for our entire Frac department which is eleven crews. Before taking over this role our frac crews were constantly running out of materials and coming to a point of almost shutting down jobs. Since taking over, this has never been an issue. I have numerous excel sheets I have developed using SAP in order to forecast what amount of materials I’m going to need on a monthly basis so I don’t run out of the crucial materials. Before taking this role I didn’t have experience in SAP and now I’m intermediate certified in the program. Also in this role I hold monthly meeting with our PSL to go over forecasting data for upcoming months, Slow move materials, and E&O materials data from SAP to try and save money for our PSL moving forward within the year.
