Current Position:Principal Technical Consultant within the Processing and Acceptance (P&A) program. Drive the adoption of emerging technology and integrate new technology (i.e. M&A) into P&A by applying intentional architecture from Foundational Standards Groups, overseeing integration architecture design and bringing the future into the now. Design, develop and maintain web-based applications for internal and external company personnel to assist in business interactions with Missouri HealthNet clients. Experience learned in this position includes the following: Full SDLC and OO analysis/design. Java programming within Rational Application Developer (RAD 7.0). Java applications are hosted on WebSphere Application Servers v6.1. Perform unit testing, integration testing and system testing on software. Perform role of Web Application Deployer by deploying software upgrades and versions. This required configuration knowledge with respect to the J2EE Deployment Descriptor and the IBM Web Application Administrative Console. Work within specific deadlines and domains. Work in a team environment with other programmers, senior programmers, system analysts, DB administrators, business partners and management. Mentor, train and provide leadership for new hire programmers. Perform technical interviews for new employee prospects followed by hiring recommendations to upper management. Project Lead for effort into the new operating state of Nevada for the eCommerce web section (multi-departmental collaboration and communication). This involved gathering and analyzing project requirements, implementing those requirements and then verifying through test procedures that project requirements were met. Used MS Project to gather task lists, milestones and project resources (Gantt Charts). From this data we could then generate reports for upper management to ensure that all project tasks were accounted for and completed, all project milestones were being met and resources were being allocated correctly. Aided in the design and implementation of an Auto Documentation System. This system documented and automated all of our company business rules for easy update, lookup, or deletion. Implemented this system using the Jakarta Struts 1.1 framework.Developed XML based system for describing and enforcing insurance business rules (Model part of the MVC paradigm). These business rules could be better maintained, added to, or modified without the interruption of our Production servers.Automated the labeling process of version-controlled files (IBM Rational ClearCase 6.0) when deploying to specific test and production environments. This involved integrating Windows XP programming with Clearcase programming (ClearTool). Lead effort in the development of a new protocol for documenting and releasing new functionality into test and distributed production environments.
