For about six years, I was a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy. Hospital Corpsmen are the Navy’s medical assets deployed around the world in every environment imaginable. While serving in Afghanistan, my grandfather was diagnosed with Stage-4 Prostate Cancer. I was helpless. I knew how to treat bullet holes and amputations, but cancer was way over my head. Since his passing, my newfound passion is to dig deeper into biomedical research to develop a better understanding of the disease that has plagued my family. I dream of a career working in cancer research where I innovate treatments and diagnostics that contribute to improved patient outcomes.
Listed skills include Enzyme Assays, Genetic Analysis, Uv/Vis Spectroscopy, Elisa, and 25 others.
