Conducted 100 mounted and dismounted patrols with the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police providing security presence to company's area of operation. Assisted with the treatment and successful evacuation of 15 local nationals injured due to enemy actions at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Shir Gazy fostering positive relationships with local population. An outstanding Corpsman, he treated a combat casualty with a gun shot wound to the abdomen for 7 hours on station until a MEDEVAC mission was sourced to transport his patient to a higher echelon of care. Performed 15 Medical Acute Concussion Evaluations (MACE) on Marines involved in an Improvised Explosive Device to ensure proper treatment and follow up care. His efforts ensured all involved were able to return to duty. -MISSION FOCUSED: Instructed 20 hours of Combat Life Savers course to 43 Marines improving his unit's survivability on the battlefield. During Operation JAWS, he rendered 15 detainee physicals for assumed Taliban fighters minimizing processing time upon arrival to designated holding facilities in order to exploit information from detainees. HM3 Keating is an exceptional Sailor. He is a vital asset to any command.
