I have been in the construction electrical industry since 2008, before that I have had several positions as both Employee and Employer. In 2015, I achieved Journeyman Electrician status with Flyer Electric, and NCSO in Alberta and Saskatchewan in 2017. Instructor for OHC level 1&2 on behalf of Worksafe Saskatchewan, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform and Confined Space, Safe Equipment Operator, Skid Steer, Variable Reach/Counterweight Forklift and Fire Watchmen on behalf of Fusion Safety. My experiences through my career has led me to Flyer Electric as a Health and Safety manager, I take pride in helping my peers in various avenues within the organization. Streamlining reporting processes, assisting with computer issues, graphic designing promotional media and business cards and videos. Flyer Electric has given me a platform to create a safe, secure and enjoyable work experience for my fellow peers. With the latest addition to Flyer Electric, Chinook Electric out of Chilliwack, BC. added a Western Canada Safety component to which I am eager for the challenge. My position as Chair at the Prince Albert Regional Safety Committee allows the opportunity for me to network with other organizations and bring Industry leaders together and share accomplishments and challenges that others may be facing in construction. My involvement with NAOSH allows education to young workers and giving them the tools and knowledge to bring in a new safety culture as they enter the workforce.
