I've become adept in hiring the right people, weeding out the wrong people, and mentoring/coaching people to redirect behaviors and help them achieve success. There is not a one size fits all approach when it comes to leading people. Formulas help give a framework for success, but good leadership fills in the gaps. A good leader listens, assesses, and adapts the plan to address issues while balancing the ultimate goal with the needs of those they are leading.
