Mr. Matthews is an experienced Project Manager and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) with the firm. In that capacity, he has supervised complex field investigations, regulatory compliance evaluations, and site remediation of projects with leaking underground storage tanks (USTs) involving soil, groundwater, and potential vapor contamination at commercial, residential, and industrial sites.Mr. Matthews has experience investigating and remediating fuel hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, heavy metals, historic pesticides and PCB impacts at industrial, commercial, and residential sites. As an LSRP, Mr. Matthews manages site remediation projects through remedial investigation, remedial design, remediation oversight and regulatory report preparation. Confirmed that SI, RI and RA activities were completed in accordance with SRRA and prepared and certified the RAO for case closure. He is also responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned projects. Mr. Matthews also has experience using ESRI Arc Map and Arc Scene Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and global positioning systems, which are used to create 2D and 3D maps. The maps are utilized to characterize pertinent aboveground and underground features along with contaminated medias. Furthermore, the geophysical data is utilized for developing remedial strategies, running models to evaluate data trends and predicting contaminant fate/ transport. In addition, he has also performed over 400 Phase I and/or Phase II investigations to support due diligence requirements for property transactions.
