Senior Pipeline Operator/ Terminal Operator
CurrentOperate, commission, and maintain terminal facilities including lact skids, tanks, pumps, automated valves, and process piping to ensure accurate and safe distribution of stored crude oil to buyers and refineries.Conduct and lead tailgate safety meetings with the team and third-party contractors before any abnormal operation or task is to be performed. Ensure necessary permits and paperwork is filled out correctly for the job.Inspects pumps, valves, and equipment for proper operation and perform general facility maintenance as needed.Work with project managers and engineers for upcoming projects. Help with identifying and making necessary changes to P&ID’s before the asset has been built.Perform and document monthly inspections, including but not limited to, tanks, fire extinguishers, vehicles, process piping, lact skids, pipeline pumps, pigging barrels, automated valves, and sample pots.Read, use, and understand PFD’s, P&ID’s, and Plot Plans.Inspect and gauge tanks to complete end of the month tank inventory.Inspect perimeter fencing, locks, and surveillance cameras to maintain proper security in our facilities and field locations.Perform measurement activities consisting of accurate calibration of bsw cards, monthly meter proving, temperature indicator transmitter calibration, pressure indicator transmitter calibration, and end of month sample pot grind outs.Perform and document pipeline maintenance activities, including but not limited to, crude oil pigging operations, hot oil operations, corrosion coupon inspections, and smart pig data gathering.Maintain great communication with the operations team, control room, customers, and any affected personnel in the area of work being done.
