In June of 2021 I started my own outdoor power equipment service and repair business. A small engine mechanic tests engines for performance, performs routine maintenance or tune-ups and repair or replace worn or damaged parts. As owner I am responsible for scheduling appointments to service or repair equipment for my customers and inform them of estimates and prices for services. Also I order supplies, parts and keep track of parts inventory, keep tools in working order, and make sure I am compliant with local and State regulations for operating a small business.

I worked as a mechanic servicing and repairing outdoor power equipment. This requires the use of various hand held tools and application of basic electricity fundamentals to troubleshoot various issues (mechanical or electrical) for our customers equipment.

At Baptist Hospital I worked in the Central Business Office and held the title of finance specialist. In that role I assisted with the follow up and adjudication of commercial and PPO (contracted) claims for multiple hospital facilities. I specialized in high dollar (over 25k), transplant and workmens comp claims. To do that required knowledge of payer contracts to ensure claims were paid and adjusted correctly. Some key skills I used daily in my responsibilities included good organization in working with multiple hospitals and problem solving to figure out issues with complex hospital contracts. Additionally being able to convey information, communicate with multiple payers, vendors and patients were essential for the resolution of claims. Working from spreadsheets and multitasking are all apart of being successful in this role too. Office tools such as Microsoft Office and Excel were used daily to carry out my assignments. In working with a team structure I was called on from time to time to assist in training new hires that on boarded to our department. One highlight of my career at Baptist was being nominated for the Service First Award. This award is given each quarter to a person who is nominated for outstanding customer service. In whatever role I'm assigned too I give my all in learning my job, being a skilled professional and continuing to grow with the company.

Highly motivated professional seeking a change. I've been in the collection industry for 15 years. However as of January of this year the company I worked for consolidated it's operations to the home office in Knoxville TN. I choose not to move and continue my career there.
