In this position I am an IAS/ATG/OPE Electrical Maintenance Technician. My job is to perform preventive and corrective maintenance of independent alarm systems, automatic tank gauging systems, overfill protection equipment, or ground verification systems at Department of Defense (DoD) installations throughout the country. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician II have to ensure proper operation of fuel accounting, alarm monitoring and controls, and leak detection equipment. I do this by applying knowledge of electricity, electronics and mechanical principals and theories, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment in determining equipment malfunctions and apply those skills in restoring equipment to operation.
