I took over IT for a 30 person creative services company that had been struggling with their previous vendor. I quickly performed a network survey and interviewed key users to determine and analyze the source of their difficulties. Created a plan for solving short and long-term company goals. Identified storage and backup as the largest road blocks to company growth. Implemented changes and streamlined their operation to minimize issues in the future. Devised a backup plan and notification system so that issues are caught quickly and resolved. This created a mutually beneficial situation for my company and the client. The client was now operating without crises and stress regarding their IT infrastructure. I was able to grow our recurring revenue by bringing on a loyal customer.The creative team at a subsidiary of a fortune 500 company was in need of outside information technology assistance due to long standing issues and difficulties getting problems resolved. After meeting with members of the creative team and internal IT I was able to quickly analyze their existing issues. Resolved cross platform file sharing difficulties in their heterogeneous environment. Solved long-standing font management issues and repaired corrupt font problems. Greatly reduced the tension between the Creative department and their internal support team by acting as the liaison between the two departments. Whenever any issues arise with a creative department computer I am the first person contacted, as they know the issue will be resolved quickly and correctly the first time. As a direct result of the work I did for them they setup the largest annual contract in the company.
