I am a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with over 27 years of hands-on experience in the field, including 12 years as a Director of Rehabilitation. My career has spanned a wide range of clinical settings, from skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare to outpatient rehabilitation and workers' compensation cases. In each role, I have consistently delivered high-quality care while fostering a compassionate, patient-centered environment that encourages positive outcomes.For the past 8 years, I have also served as the acting Director of Rehabilitation whenever the DOR is unavailable, maintaining continuity in leadership and ensuring seamless care for our patients. This responsibility reflects my strong leadership capabilities and adaptability in managing multidisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy disciplines.As a Director of Rehabilitation, I have been responsible for overseeing the delivery of care, ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards, and managing documentation for billing and insurance. My leadership extended to training staff, optimizing team workflows, and improving patient outcomes through customized rehabilitation plans.Currently, I manage all cases involving managed care and insurance for my facility, working directly with insurance companies daily to ensure smooth case management and patient care continuity. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of managed care protocols and regulations.
