After selling my company, Imaging Path in 2014, I discovered there were a ton of things that I would have done differently. I spent a few years reflecting in "retirement" and quickly realized that it was not all it was cracked up to be, at least not for me anyway. Having always surrounded myself with driven entrepreneurs who share the same love for business, I decided it was time to get jump back in the game. This is when I decided to join my son, Ryan Tansom, who started a company called The Growth & Exit Planning Collaborative.Why did I choose to become a GEXP Consultant? Well, I found out through the great work that Ryan and his partners have been doing, that I left a ton of money on the table (over $1.5 million) and could have explored more exit options than I originally thought. Even though it was a successful exit (according to the tax man and any financial person you ask) the whole process of growing and selling my company was disjointed and full of inefficiencies and even some regrets.At GEXP Collaborative, I am proud to be able to help mid-market entrepreneurs better understand the areas of importance in their business that matter the most to them. After two years of telling myself I was having fun I decided to go back in the business world and work for my son Ryan's firm.

Founded and led the strategic vision and growth of Imaging Path for over 18 years before I later completed a successful asset sale to Loffler Companies in June of 2014. Prior to that, I built the company from just 3 determined employees to over 100 highly trained professionals moving at full speed. Here, I was able to leverage my unique skills and abilities to cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with all of our clients and partners to ensure that the company was driving the industry forward with solutions that drive real results.

As I progressed in my career, I came across a role with Loffler Companies as the Director of the Imaging Department. Coming from a successful career with CDP, I was tasked with starting the Loffler Copier Sales division to help drive new sales and business opportunities for what has become the largest privately owned business, technology, and service companies in the Upper Midwest.

Early on in my career, I entered the workforce as a Sales Representative in 1989 for CDPs corporate office in Minneapolis. Here, I held several management positions within the company as I climbed through, he ranks of upper management. This role enabled me the opportunity to work in a variety of locations helping to grow the business.
