• Responsible for managing the preparation and leading the discussion with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) during their yearly audit of the facilities and processes.• Managed 3 analytical chemists and 4 quality technicians responsible for controlling incoming raw materials and inspecting the products (Boudreaux’s Butt Paste and Simply Saline) at various stages of their production.• Ensured the entire team was trained on and following all cGMP and USP guidelines and requirements.• Lead chemist on experimental design issues, instrumentation problems and analytical method development issues involving HPLC and FTIR.• Responsible for preparing, reviewing and approving master batch records, stability protocols, deviations and all other documentation used in the manufacturing of products.

In my scientist role, I am responsible for synthesizing biologically relevant medicinal chemistry building blocks in 1 to 100 gram scale. As a project leader, I am responsible for writing, reviewing, and submitting potential government-supported grants. If funded, I would be in charge of conducting and managing the research and submitting progress reports to the granting agency. In my sales and marketing role, I am responsible for soliciting large contracts for our custom synthesis service.
