As a member of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile System Program Office at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, I worked as the lead production systems engineer for a reentry vehicle refurbishment program. I had responsibility for leading an integrated team of engineers and electronics technicians to implement an electronic refurbishment line.

As a member of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile System Program Office at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, I worked as the lead production engineer for a $284M liquid rocket motor life extension program. I had responsibility for leading an integrated team of engineers and technicians to meet rocket motor production goals while maintaining weapon system technical integrity.

As a lab assistant at the Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium (WEMPEC), I gained hands-on experience building and trouble-shooting electrical power systems and components. I built, tested, and documented a set of thirty electrical load banks to facilitate graduate-level research testing activities. Also, as a member of the UW-Madison IEEE International Future Energy Challenge Team, I designed the packaging for a utility interactive inverter system as-well-as trouble-shot issues with the power and control circuitry.

I worked for John Deere's Charlotte, North Carolina based Commercial and Consumer Equipment Division's Advanced Development Group. During my internship, I worked on various hands-on and simulation-based projects supporting the insertion of electric drive technology into golf course greens mowers cutting reels. My experience centered around creating a finite-element motor model used for rapid analysis or the effects of fault currents on machines. I also designed, built, and tested a printed circuit board based three-phase, variable-capacitance bank for use in establishing performance baselines of permanent magnet synchronous machines.
