This is a diverse operations leadership role which focuses on product movement, post beneficiation, via road train fleet through to ship loading and is responsible for:• Management of bulk material movement from the mine to port. • Port product stockpile management, stacking and load-out. • Ship loading and co-ordination of shipping plans as well as vessel vetting.• Management of port operations including wharf facilities, tug crews and pilots• Management of fixed plant and mobile equipment.• People management for Road Haulage and Port crews. • Strategic forward planning to support improvements in throughput and risk reduction initiatives.• This role also includes the duties of Harbourmaster, Pilotage Authority & Port Facilities Security Officer.

Control of all brownfield programs across the region reporting to the Asset Engineering Department, GEMCO. The main focus being:- Grade Control Drilling- Resource Definition Drilling - Target Testing &- Field Mapping This work is heavily focused on optimisation of the current mine plan and developing options for future expansion.

Control of multiple exploration drilling programs both greenfield and brownfield across a number of regions in remote NT.- Operations Management, strategic planning and integration; - Development of detailed production and logistic plans followed by execution;- Program startup and team building;- Financial control of program funds, budgeting and accounts management.- Ensuring compliance with legislative and stakeholder requirements whilst operating on Aboriginal Freehold Land;- Complex problem solving, use of 6 sigma and lean tools and de-confliction with mine operations; and- Development of best practice procedures for all activities and promotion of strong operating discipline.

Controlled operations for a $16M per annum remote Greenfields exploration drilling program in Eastern WA with a large fixed camp and 70 staff.- Operations planning and coordination;- Supervision of field staff, logistic planning and delivery;- Monitoring/ reducing operating expenditure and reconciliation;- HSEC adherence, monitoring and reporting for all site activities;- Emergency and crisis management;- Program aviation coordinator;- Detailed problem solving;- Desktop and field based planning;- Creating workable management plans;- Contracts management and de-confliction;- Contractor and staff liaison;- Field work and assessment of competency; and- Project management.

Various appointments managing large teams up to 150 personnel. - Logistic planning and the conduct of logistic operations and sustainment activities into remote localities with set timelines and within resource allocation and funding;- Manage a vehicle fleet of 100 vehicles and the provision of logistic advice to senior management;- Provide OHS advice and guidance to senior management; - Ensure workplace policies are adhered to;- Develop and implement a program of regular OHS workplace inspections and conduct OHS workplace inspections;- Provide career guidance and execute employee development training;- Write job statements and provide performance appraisal reports to employees and senior management;- Provide subject matter expertise on the transportation of hazardous substances and dangerous goods;- Coordinate and monitor driver training to ensure all personnel receive appropriate training;- Monitor the emergency management plans, ensuring compliance with all standards and legislation including environmental management procedures; and- Applying risk management to identify, assess and control hazards in all environments.
