I'm an Assistant Professor at University College Utrecht (UCU) in the Netherlands and the Director of the UCU East Africa field program. I'm affiliated with a host of teaching, research and advocacy initiatives, mainly pertaining to indigenous land rights, decolonization, conservation, conflict and pastoralism in East Africa. On a pedagogical level, my recent interests include decolonizing our classrooms and anti-racist pedagogies.
