I was the course tutor for a second year Quantum Physics course at UNSW. I was in charge of running the tutorials for the course, designing optimal tutorial questions to test student knowledge, writing/uploading relevant resources to the course website, and communicating with professors to ensure that my Tutorial classes were in sync with the Lectures and the Laboratories.

Graded assessments for an astronomy course

Taught tutorial classes for a first year subject on kinematics, thermodynamics and oscillations/wavesAs well as Electromagnetism.

I researched quantum dot qubits within a 2D quantum harmonic oscillator potential. This involved running simulations using NEMO3D and the Gadi supercomputer. I then used Python and MATLAB for data analysis and visualisation of the electronic energy levels and wavefunctions of these silicon quantum dots.

Taught laboratory classes for first year courses and marked students

Led a residential community at college, facilitating weekly floor meetings, mentoring students, and supporting college events. Acted as a bridge between students and college leadership, promoting the college’s values and navigating the balance between being a peer and an authority figure. Assisted with residential staff coordination, upheld confidentiality, and ensured compliance with university and college policies.

I organised events, made multimedia advertisements and managed the social platforms of the college
