Corey Bounds is a Laboratory Operations Leader at Remaxco Technologies. Colleagues describe him as "I enthusiastically recommend Corey Bounds! Corey is a very astute technical teardown lab analyst, with the technical depth, enthusiasm, interest, and considerate nature, to step right into any of the roles of a Six Sigma Engineer – which is exactly what he did as he worked with Ford Blackbelts, of which I am one, to search for and resolve defects in warranty returns. We called on Corey to coach us on how the internal gearing works in a rack and pinion gear, or give us insight on the physics of a failure mode, enlighten us on the phases of rack & pinion functional tests and what they actually mean to the gear & customer. Corey enjoyed helping people and helping them understand. Corey was very innovative and determined – he had perseverance to take an old test rig that everybody gave up on in the back room of the plant, and he rebuilt it, from an old 1980's computer run rig, to something that the entire plant could use to test rack & pinion gears for noise for months on end. It's an understatement to say how much work that was to rebuild, reprogram, retro-fit that ancient rig, and re-attach rack and pinion assemblies to it. It required computer expertise, electronics, hydraulics, mechanics and more. Corey revels in the difficult, the complex, and likes a challenge, likes things that require thought and analysis. It's why he is a natural for Six Sigma. Additionally, Corey has a sunshine can-do happy professional demeanor that made him a natural to take my own high level management through the teardown lab and explain the lab's equipment and services. Corey's can-do, radiant professional demeanor, technical depth, curiosity, drive, and intelligence will take him far in anything he aspires to do. I remain forever grateful for all his intellectual & cheerful contributions in all the Six Sigma work that he/I have collaborated on at the ACH-Indianapolis Steering Gear Plant.
