AppExtras is a cross-promotion network for mobile app publishers. Through a simple SDK, publishers add a personal app store to their native apps which they manage through a web-based UI. Lead developer on the client portion of Amos Neptune.The Amos Neptune project involved the rewrite of a large client-server messaging platform that provides satellite connectivity between ship and shore. The project was run using agile development methodologies; client software was written in a combination C++ and C#. Responsibilities included software design, development and testing, scrum master, management of client source code in subversion repository.

WinTheTrophy was a free sports betting competition that combined sports betting, social gaming, fantasy sports and crowdsourcing into one fun, free and legal experience.As a member of the development team, I worked with the site owners and other members of the team to design, build and test the site as it moved from beta into production. Development included interfacing with third-party systems such as Twitter and Facebook. Components were written in Ruby on Rails.

Chroniql developed the photo sharing service rmbr as well as Prized Collection, a Facebook photo gallery application.Working with a widely dispersed global team, I was responsible for design and development of production Ruby-on-rails applications. Development included interfacing with Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) and EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud)* Prized Collection: a Facebook photo tagging application. As part of the Inmarsat portfolio of companies, Stratos delivers mobile and fixed communications solutions worldwide.* Lead engineering team through software development cycle from concept to support* Implemented software development methodologies and practices* Implemented SCRUM development modelWorking with the software engineering team and stakeholders, I successfully implemented a scrum development approach on a key development project. This successfully demonstrated the applicability of an agile approach for future development activities.I led the team through a large integration project where products were integrated with those from the acquired company.

Stratos Global is a satellite telecommunications company. As part of the Inmarsat portfolio of companies, Stratos delivers mobile and fixed communications solutions worldwide.As an application engineer, I designed, developed and tested software systems and components. Contributions included:* StratosGateway: a web portal that brought-together user interfaces of disparate products into a single view. I was the lead on launching the portal and integrating systems, such as StratosAccess, into it.* StratosAccess: a web-based satellite terminal management system. I was the lead developer and implemented an n-tier system which included a PL/SQL database layer and a Java J2EE web layer. I developed and presented training on this system for internal support groups.* StratosNet: an Internet service (ISP) specifically designed for mobile satellite customers. It consisted of a back-end service and a windows-based client application. I designed and developed the client desktop application and designed and implemented the back-end service.
