The Veteran/Military Recruiter will manage the strategy and execution of the military staffing initiative. This will include, but will not be limited to, working to create and maintain the Hertz brand on military bases and Veteran specific organizations through visits, job fairs (in person and virtual), employment marketing and building strong relationships.

Region Recruiter is required to track records in a centralized, high volume, on-line based recruiting applicant tracking systems. The function of this role is to identify qualified candidates and manage the process from position approval through to successful integration into Herc Rentals. The Region Recruiter implements strategies to source qualified and diverse candidates to meet position requirements from internal, external, and/or referral candidate pools. In addition, the Region Recruiter manages the recruitment process and ensures compliance with government regulations regarding employment. My role also serves as a primary source of staffing and recruitment strategy advice, consultation, and education to stake holders and recruiters on military/veterans recruitment best practices. •Acted as a subject matter expert for the organization on issues of military/veteran recruitment; educate leaders and recruiters about the military/veteran cultures and vernacular, creating a company wide military/veteran friendly recruiting environment. •Created pivot tables and charts using excel worksheets and external data, sorted items and group data, and formatted pivot tables, to achieve analytical goals. •Employs sourcing strategies, Marketing, Web-Design, Job Postings, Community Networking, and Business to Business relationships with Government, Profit and Non-Profits agencies. Manage 3rd Party vendor relationships.

Serves as the Senior Operations administrator of a Medical Recruiting Battalion; responsible for the training and professional development of 156 recruiters and over 36 DA civilians covering 15 states as well as Europe facilitating the entry of Medical Professionals. Serving in 4 Medical Recruiting Companies, 21 Medical Recruiting Centers; serves as the primary operational advisor to the Battalion Commander on all Soldier, training and recruiting issues; monitors and influences all aspects of recruiting production to include mission planning, prospecting and the processing of all applicants applying to serve as a commissioned officer in the Army Medical Department.

Leads, trains and supervises an Army Medical Recruiting Company; responsible for the health, welfare, morale, and training of four Center Commanders, five DA civilians and 17 recruiters in a company dispersed over 128,000 square miles; serves as the primary advisor to the Company Commander on all Soldier morale and recruiting-related issues; responsible for all administrative, logistical and maintenance requirements; coordinates and accountable for all recruiting activities in 109 colleges and 416 hospital programs; trains, mentors and motivates assigned Soldiers towards successful mission accomplishment; promotes community awareness and support for the Army.

Educated Army Health Care Recruiters in full cycle recruiting, job announcement, interviewing, cold-calling, campus/college recruiting, screening etc.; ensured mastery of those skills through practical application and evaluation. Designed curriculum to provide training in the principles of leadership, management, eligibility, data based applicant tracking systems, interpersonal communications, scholarship programs, time management, prospecting, interviewing, life coaching and career counseling. Drafted, published, reviewed, and revised operational regulations and policies for the Army as well as lessons plans and course test materials. Routinely supervised and trained approximately 25 students per 3-week class cycle.

Responsibilities mirror those of Houston Medical Recruiting Company; however, accomplished with 4 less recruiters, while simultaneously managing the Syracuse Medical Recruiting Station. Was one of only seven Center Commanders, out of eighty-two to achieve all assigned recruitment goals in 2005.

Represented the US Army Recruiting Command as a Healthcare Center Commander while conducting activities within assigned boundaries in order to procure qualified Healthcare Professionals for the active duty and reserve components; responsible for 14,968 square miles with 24 counties; supervised and directs recruiting activities of 3 recruiters in graduate and undergraduate schools; hospitals, professional medical societies, ROTC units, local Medical units; attends national, state and local conventions; ensures quality control of all applications.

Commander of a 8 personal recruiting center; trained supervised and organized the activities of seven assigned recruiters; trains in such areas as leadership, prospecting and interviewing techniques, organization and marketing of civilian awareness programs; planned and supervised recruiting functions such as station administration, public relationships, high school and college liaison programs; personally responsible for the center accomplishing its enlistment objectives.

Led a nine man airborne infantry weapons squad; maintains the squad’s combat readiness to deploy anywhere in the world within 18 hours; trains individual soldiers to accomplish unit mission; responsible for soldiers welfare, accounts for personal and equipment and issues orders and tactical plans.

Represented the United States Recruiting Command as a Regular Army Recruiter; while conducting activities within assigned boundaries in order to enlist qualified personal for the Regular Army; establishes promotes and maintains contact with high schools officials, undergraduate schools, ROTC units and reserve units; attends state and local business conventions.
