“I didn’t come this far only to come this far.” – Jesse Itzler Like a (much less fit) sales version of Bodhi from Point Break (the 1991 version, of course), I am a modern savage and searcher in the quest for the ultimate sales ride…the perfect sales call…the perfect sales narrative…the perfect pitch. Along this path, I believe in lending a hand and guiding others from their self-imposed shackles of identifying as mere “sales tourists” to instead reaching liberation and happiness by focusing on the true craft and science of sales. My mistakes have been numerous on this sales and leadership journey and I love sharing all of my many missteps. But like a modern version of Forrest Gump, the successes I have tripped over have been numerous as well – from founding and helping early stage technology companies from the kitchen table to bringing them to IPO or strategic acquisitions totaling over $625MM, I’ve also helped pitch and raise nearly $130MM in venture and Reg A capital. I’ve interviewed, hired, and coached thousands of incredible sales, support, and leadership folks under my watch. I cherish the awesome moments of working with our team members and celebrating the marriages, the new babies, the new homes, the travels around the world, the goal boards “checked off,” and the countless promotions; it is truly one of my favorite pastimes.I strive to lead from the front with a humility and drive for delivering both an exceptional client experience and shareholder value…a drive that is powered without the latest fad of low nutritional value “Hustle Porn” that has pervaded our profession these past few years. Rather, the leadership style I subscribe to is better aligned with General George Patton’s axiom of, “A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week.”

Founder And CeoBranch 49 Feb 2020 - PresentPhoenix, Arizona, Us82% of businesses fail due to low revenue, and their inability to build a sustainable sales team and systems. These businesses waste 67% of their marketing & sales budget targeting the wrong leads, using the wrong channels and hiring the wrong people.Branch 49 is sales acceleration software and service team that uses AI to score leads based on their preferred contact channels, while also dedicating a sales team to perform top-of-funnel and full-stack revenue generation. With a special focus and "carved through experience" niche in the cyber security markets, this helps businesses such as Splunk, Orca Security, Veeam, Comcast, and Nextiva reach revenue goals 5-times faster & 3-time more cost effective than doing it in-house.Working alongside and supporting both the Grand Canyon University Innovation Center and Canyon Angels, Branch49 thrives in the world of B2B customer acquisition for Mid and Growth stage ventures. We have reimagined and discovered the Rosetta Stone for the one tool in the sales and marketing stack that continues to be the most fruitful in converting a list of prospects to customers: the Cold Call. Sadly, most organizations shun this technique at scale and would prefer to overspend on meetings and pipeline by using expensive and impersonal inbound digital tools. These tools have a place for sure, yet humans still require trust to move forward. And there is nothing that can move the trust needle more than a novel, intrigue-driven, and status heavy conversation performed by a professional. The mission of Branch49 is generating these trust conversations at scale to assist a company on their path to Market Dominance. In other words...yeah...we sell Cold Calls. -

Co-HostMarket Dominance Guys Jun 2019 - PresentCohost of somehow one of the most ridiculously and popular Top 5% podcasts in the world with the incomparable Chris Beall. The only comprehensive podcast cookbook for dominating business markets without giving up control of your company—or your life. Nearly 250+ episodes of tips, advice, guidance, war stories, and cautionary tales with interviews with Jeb Blount, Oren Klaff, Gerry Hill, Gerhard Gschwandtner, Dr Mindy Weinstein, "The King of Cold Calling" James Thornburg, Jeff Lerner, Tony Safoian, Hitesh Shah, Ryan Reisert, Roderick Jefferson, Henry Wojdyla, "The Best Sandler Trainer on Earth" Brad Ferguson, Sushee Perumal, Valerie Schlitt, Robert Vera, Tom Zheng, Gavin Tice, Matthew Forbes and Mr. Rami Goldratt.Entrepreneurs must have a massive, irrational belief in their ability to solve a difficult problem that’s out there. “I’m right and everybody else is wrong,” is the hymn that is stuck “on repeat” in their head. But how an entrepreneur plans their maneuvers in order to reach Market Dominance IS the entire game.We are in the midst of an exciting yet seismic change across the profession of modern sales. Improved (and much smarter) marketing tools, more compelling sales methodologies, better-designed datasets, and even the introduction of Artificial Intelligence have all lent a hand to upgraded efficiency and higher close rates. The unshakable mission of a company, however, remains constant - if not all the more elusive: "Those that dominate their market are those that are going to win." -

Co-Founder, Chief Revenue Officer & AdvisorStormwind Studios Jan 2009 - Aug 2018Scottsdale, Arizona, UsWe expertly use digital and every other medium to deliver touch points of power, beauty and seismically relevant information that surprise our students and practitioners —like a ninja butterfly delivering roundhouse kicks to the chin of training ambivalence. Stop by our site at StormWind.com and watch our demos—and your chin. Then give us a call. Here's our big Idea in 180 words: Cybersecurity and Information Technology (IT) training is in a deep state of decay. It's irresponsible. It's overpriced. It's mind numbingly boring. It's just not 2001 anymore (sorry Skillsoft, New Horizons & Global Knowledge, you had a nice run - like Blockbuster or cursive - but your gig is up). 21st century IT professionals demand and need more. Here's the big problem: There is a fundamental disconnect between the way things are being taught and the way people are actually able to learn. And anyone that's been doing this for longer than a day already knows how difficult of a task it is to stay current with rapidly changing technologies. The average IT professional now has to be able to handle on average at least 6 systems. Not to mention we're witnessing an unprecedented, "undeclared war" of hacks, data breaches, and social engineering ... and this is always bad news. Our ethos at StormWind Studios is to provide highly engaging technical training sessions that map to the certifications you need with the real world street smarts you want. All getting you and your team to grin wildly knowing you once again have the upper hand on the black hats. Our stuff is ridiculously good, staggeringly affordable, and also more mind-meltingly effective than any other option out there. -
