Software engineer, currently in the VFX industry with a strong interest in user centered design. I enjoy researching, designing and developing user interfaces, tools and API's that are effective, easy and exciting to use. Very passionate about the VFX industry - I started my career as a CG generalist so I have a unique understanding of the processes and challenges that users face. Ultimately, my technical skills and passion for developing software quickly outweighed my artistic abilities and have been heavily focused on software engineering for the majority of my career. Over the last few years, I have challenged myself by starting a number of new projects from the ground up and leading a team of engineers in a high pressure environment.I love a challenge and the chance to learn new tools and technology.

As the sole developer, I was responsible for design, development, documentation and customer support. I sold it to Oktobor Animation and worked with them to publicly release MentalCore. It was on the market from Dec 2011 - Dec 2014, received great reviews and was used by a number of educational institutes, freelancers and small studios, before Oktobor ultimately closed down.
