With the storylines tackling socially relevant topics like bullying, teen sex, teen pregnancy, texting and driving, and music/arts survival in public schools, we had a plethora of prolific subjects to tackle with a very engaged viewer/consumer. With Corey's help, we chose to tackle music/arts survival in public school. Corey and his team had the skeleton of a 501c called Give a Note -- with a nice play on Notes for music and Notes for dollars. We partnered with National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Fox Networks and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment to secure a 1 Million Dollar donation for music education. Corey developed and executed the program including the pesky legal issues across multiple states to for the implementation of a music contest. This contest quickly resonated with the public school youth who were encouraged to submit videos advising of their school's music needs - from new instruments to a dollars to travel for music competitions. Thousands of video submissions, millions of dollars of local and national press coverage value, and hundreds of thousands of community members voting for their schools, we allocated $1 Million across several schools to help secure awareness and sustainability for their schools' music programs. Corey brought us ideas, flawless execution and grace under pressure for this important program.
