Peninsula Sinai Congregation is a derech, a pathway, for making Judaism and Jewish identity a meaningful and spiritually fulfilling part of people’s lives. We celebrate and hold sacred the idea that everyone is making this journey, at their own pace and toward their own destination. Our vision is to inspire, influence and help shape each person’s Jewish-life journey through community and tradition. PSC is piloted and ultimately adopted a "flexible financial commitment" model, which redefined membership and removed financial barriers to synagogue engagement. This policy shift marks the first synagogue in the US to implement completely voluntary, all-inclusive dues (i.e., including religious school and all programs). We are proud of how we've used this new model as a springboard to transform not only our own synagogue but to engage more of the entire Bay Area Jewish community.
