I have a valued skill set ranging from Quality Control, Data Entry, Risk Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Greenbelt Certification LEAN Manufacturing principles, certified welder for multiple companies,Currently working in the transportation industry for a Class 1 railroad as a conductor/engineer. Working within FRA guidelines, team work situations, operations of heavy equipment, and problem solving all while engaging in potentially hazardous situations that could affect the infrastructure of goods transported via the railway. Coordinating with dispatch and management in order to move freight in a smooth and timely manner. Making certain to follow OSHA regulations and safety procedures. I am also an active Union Officer in the my local division of 863 for the BLET, representing my division as the Vice President. I my previous positions and job skill set, I achieved Certified Skilled Welder positions at multiple companies. I was awarded Operation Starpoint leader working in a national locomotive manufacturing facility in a years frame of time. With the ability to perform job tasks in 4 different work stations, I would oversee and assist in quality control as well as shift scheduing. Prior, I also worked 13 years in the food grade plastic extrusion industry. While in this industry, I acquired a Green Belt certificate in Lean Manufacturing, conducted numerous Kaizen teams and events, team member of several Kanban events, implementing a cost savings program that saved 1.5 million over a year. Along with these involvements in the company, I was also qualified to run 5 different pieces of machinery and 4 different extrusion lines. I was also a floor trainer and team leader in my department. I have a very wide variety of skills and assets that I have obtained throughout my working career. SMAW, FLUX, GMAW, Quality Assurance, Metal Fabrication, Blue Print Reading, Team Lead and LEAN Manufacturing, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Safety Coordinating, Hazmat training, Heavy equipment operation, Freight Transportation ect..
