BCA teaches Python, Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI to teens from around the world. I network with schools, the community, and businesses to bridge connections between teens and Machine Learning. I develop and teach all content, operate the website, handle communications, manage a team of interns, and oversee all operations.

I teach Data Science, Computer Programming, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Advanced Math, and Home & Hospital Instruction. In 2020 I taught Data Analytics and Machine Learning in a club for all BUSD students during COVID. In 2017, I was awarded multiple grants to teach students how to program, build websites, and create iPhone apps by supporting girls and underserved students. My duties as a department chair have included general curriculum development, staff and tutor oversight, hiring committees, scheduling, departmental development, mentorship, and mediation. I also developed a class to launch the first school website.

Recruited and managed small team of student coders. Won grant to complete project through BUSD. Wrote, edited, and compiled all executable Swift code. Organized hackathon. Designed and edited promotional materials for launch. Featured on Product Hunt. 5.0 star rating in the iOS App Store.

I taught standard algebra courses to undergraduates. I prepared lectures, held office hours, wrote exams, and assisted students in danger of failing. I utilized Webassign, Blackboard, and smart-pens to post homework solutions online.

I started a summer program to teach chess in downtown Oakland. I provided 20 students with daily instruction and weekly tournaments that included prizes. I partnered with the Golden Gate and Elmhurst branches of the Oakland Public Library to host open tournaments for the larger community. When the summer ended, I hired a teacher and allocated funds to continue the program at Thurgood Marshall Elementary.

After starting as a regular sub, I took over "problem classes" each year that credentialed teachers left improving morale and academic scores. When not working in the classroom, I tutored ESL students, assisted the principal, and worked with disruptive students. I worked with every class in the school and knew all teachers, students, and staff on a first-name basis.

I supervised 40 campers, 3 camp counselors, and 3 camp counselors in-training. I developed positive rapport with staff through intensive trainings and implemented YMCA procedures on-site. During daily field trips, I was responsible for the safety of all campers as the first person on-call for any emergencies.

I spent two summers working at an inner city crisis camp where I developed a multicultural curriculum from scratch. I supervised the campers in an overnight setting and learned invaluable techniques in discipline. I told stories, developed team-building skills, and had a great time with kids and staff.
