Responsible for conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), initial client intakes, ISPT meetings, developing individualized and strengths-based treatment and behavior support plans, utilizing evidence-based assessment and intervention procedures for identified target behaviors, consulting with, and training of, members of the treatment team including the family, child and assigned Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS), completing monthly treatment plan reviews and daily progress notes, completing service documentation and insurance packet reports by identified due dates, and independently managing client schedule to maximize prescribed service hours.

The Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) is the primary author of the child’s Treatment Plan, directs the child’s treatment program, assembles the authorization request packet, initiates the child’s entry into treatment and tracks the child’s treatment progress via monthly progress reviews and treatment plan updates, attends regularly scheduled supervision sessions with clinical supervisor, notifies supervisor of any changes to the child’s treatment program or meetings scheduled, maintains and updates all required clearances.

Responsibilities included providing one-to-one assistance to children/adolescents with behavior disorders in the school, home and community settings based on medical needs of the client,prompting interventions in the areas of behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, social and peer interaction skills based on treatment plan goals provided by a Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC, Master’s Level Clinician), collecting daily data and documenting progress notes in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.

Primary responsibilities included upholding standards of professional conduct,supervising and monitoring activities of the child with emphasis placed on identified problem areas,intervening as a needed when problem behaviors are exhibited,implementing interventions listed in the treatment plan, actively participate in problem or conflict resolution to ensure that BHRS and other services are provided without interruption, providing one-on-one interventions in natural settings as possible.
