As a Regional Healthcare Trainer I trained staff members of accomplish in various respects. I held an IOSH accredited Train the Trainer in Manual Handling, and I was EFAW trainer accredited by ROFT. I also trained via the Adobe Connect platform. These courses included Positive Culture, CBT Awareness, Key Worker Training, Shift Leading and Safeguarding Level Two. Many of the courses I trained were CPD accredited. Additionally to this, I was a Learning and Development Officer, which demanded adept IT knowledge, meticulous planning and timekeeping, as well as the knowledge of several areas of the company simultaneously. This job demanded the management of the Supported Living sector training, in terms of the facilitation, coordination and preparation. This sector stretches from Liverpool to Dorset, from the Isle of Wight to Swansea. This was a dual role as a Learning and Development Officer, which involves liaising with the rest of the company in order to facilitate training across the country, and preparing materials for the trainers. Additionally, I complete administrative duties for the department and answer telephone and email queries while arranging training for areas around the United Kingdom.

I worked as a support worker for gentlemen in a particularly challenging home. This home had particular needs to be met due to the diagnoses of Mental Health issues, Learning Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries and Autism. During my time in this role I would support with day to day living, and supporting the gentlemen with their external activities. This could involve day trips to the Brecon Beacons, a visit to meet family or a trip to the Mumbles for ice cream. The role was incredibly varied and challenging on occasion, however I utilised low arousal techniques, in line with our Studio III Training. This role was incredibly rewarding and during this time I took up the position of Choirmaster at accomplish for the ‘Accomplishments’. We then performed at the Learning Disability and Autism Wales Awards 2018 and we’re met with incredible applause. This role demanded a lot of patience, person centred care and attention to detail, all the while upholding dignity and respect at all times.Continued this role on a bank basis during employment as a Trainer for the company.
