Reporting to the CIO, I was chosen to lead a newly formed division of the WinCo Foods IT department to establish and grow standards and best practices as the Senior Director of IT Operations. To ensure IT responsiveness to business continuity, this role has the responsibility of forming and managing business and partner relationships to increase transparency and capability planning. Providing direction and guidance to control costs, increase department performance and output, and finding new ways to leverage technology in support of a $10 billion retailer spanning 140 locations.

WinCo is a fast-paced, growing company that requires prioritization of new store construction; a continual part of the role is reviewing blueprints and participating in the IT installation of the construction process. Providing world-class customer service to a $7 billion retailer spanning 125 locations supporting retail technologies: Payments, Scan Guns, Desktops, Thin Clients, Printers, IP Cameras, BMS, Telemetry, and Voice Picking. During this time mean time to repair and costs were reduced through process improvements and inventory control. Responsible for IT asset management and procurement processes. At the Department of Health and Welfare, I was responsible for a team of network and security professionals supporting enterprise technologies: WAN/LAN, Data Center operations, Collaboration, Security, and Wireless. Participation and cooperation with Federal Agencies was a common and necessary responsibility. Project management for all network projects was a responsibility of the position. The network consisted of 47 locations, 4000+ users, and more than 10000 Ethernet ports. During my time WAN connectivity consisted of a range of technologies and bandwidth from 768kbps Frame Relay to 1gbps Metro Ethernet. I was responsible for migrating the WAN for a Frame Relay/ATM hybrid to single MPLS private network. Some projects I managed were to replace technology for the state institutional hospitals, migrate from a Frame Relay/ATM hybrid to single MPLS private network, and complete a statewide deployment of video psychiatry to reach to all 7 regions of the state. During this time I was also recognized with the Director's Award of Excellence for my participation in the development of a COOP plan.

Regularly coordinated and supervised contractors of various partners and contractors as a part of the construction of the new Boise airport terminal. A significant portion of the role was performing design, planning, and cost-benefit analysis for IT infrastructure. I worked on many occasions with a variety of local and federal law enforcement agencies.

Special technical support to the Mayor, Mayor's staff, and city council for needs ranging from server applications to home desktop/network support. Including in my duties were attendance to all city council meetings and executive sessions to address any technical needs that may arise. During this time I received a Mayor's letter of commendation for my work in implementing a system to allow for electronic correspondence with the federal agencies in Washington DC.

America, S. America).
