A new project under the Juju umbrella offering an SMS-based, realtime recruiting platform for employers. I participated in the initial design phase and implementation of core features. Since then, I have expanded forward-facing API calls to accommodate a wide array of needs. I have written an extensive panel of automated unit tests to ensure feature completeness, enforce security, and prevent future features from breaking existing functionality. I continue to coordinate efforts across teams.

Curology was conducting clinical trials on some of their dermatology products. The medical team desperately needed an engineer to reduce the time spent on trivial tasks. I was able to cut their workload by two-thirds, significantly reducing internal costs.

I was a backend developer for a recruiting site that serviced tens of millions of hits every day. This involved scalable platforms, considerable task automation, and task optimization. I spent a considerable amount of time optimizing database models and workflows. I inherited many daily scrubbing and data pipeline tasks that were backing up, and I was able to reduce the runtime of many of them from several days, to about an hour. I also developed quick report generation tools on datasets spanning hundreds of millions of records to address the needs of our clients.

Self incorporation for contracted work. This corporation was first formed in Puerto Rico where I resided for 7 years. I originally subcontracted for the U.S. Department Of Defense, but later branched out to commercial work. Some of the individual projects are listed here.

Backend development of a one-sided call-recording suite. Involved a very fast and clever non-traditional hybrid use of Redis, MySQL, and cloud storage to deliver a very fast, indexable audio playback interface.

Bioinformatics project cataloguing the proliferation of invasive species across the world. This project was funded by the National Science Foundation. I was contracted to create an interface showing geospacial information of various species around the globe.

Contractor for the Department of Defense. Supported the Navy in various tasks tracking and validation the production pipeline of amphibious war ships. Held a Secret-level security clearance.

Code review and validation for a first-generation proton radiation therapy medical treatment device. I was essentially hired to find errors in the controller's C code to hasten the launch date.

This was a small-town ISP offering custom web applications for local clients. My job was to set up and maintain Linux "LAMP" environments and develop custom E-Commerce software.
