As Director of Design at Kickr, I drive the alignment of our design capabilities with the needs of our clients and internal teams. I help provide strategic vision for design challenges, ensuring collaboration across teams and elevating the quality and breadth of our offerings.

As a senior industrial designer, I help blend our client's goals with the potential and experience built-in to our team at Kickr. I take an active role in both internal and external deliverables to increment our culture, efficiency, and output.

As Design Team Lead, I take an active role in Kickr's business mission and goals. + Help design and implement internal processes and design goals for myself and the team+ Manage design resources, finding solutions to help everyone on the team do their best work.+ Align team skills and capabilities with other teams for the most efficient path towards a successful project oucome.

During this time I found my niche in helping startups and young companies work through design strategy, concepting, design validation, and early stage fundraising. References available upon request.

Kickr Design is a rapidly growing design startup in Atlanta, GA. I joined the team because I saw great potential in the people, and for the variety of work I'd have access to. Working with multiple clients and timelines has taught me a lot more about project management and working efficiently. This was an amazing job in a fast-paced setting, designing products for a number of renowned brands, each with their own design language. My responsibilities as a junior industrial designer were to create concept sketches, 3D and CAD models, artwork files, communicate with contract manufacturers, review samples, follow basic DFM guidelines, and communicate my work to other departments or higher-ups. I've got a couple personal projects in the works, as always, but after my move to RI, it's hard to find the space to work!

SCAD was a great learning experience! There are things I would've spent more time on, but I'm extremely happy with where I've landed, and the friends and skills I gained. If I had to give any SCAD Industrial Design student advice today, it would be "branch out". Make friends in other majors, and have fun. Remember to keep your eye on the "big picture", and don't let the render monkeys get the best of you.
