The platform processes hundreds of millions of personalized digital engagements annually for some of the world's largest telco and banking customers. Distributed systems architecture, cloud services (AWS, Azure), containers, AI and ML were all used to deliver a world class product.In addition to platform development, I led the company's IT and cybersecurity departments. I hired the first CISO and oversaw the company's security posture from physical to software security. In addition, I scaled the core engineering organization with both local and near-shore resources.

Acquired by NASDAQ: PRGSAs CTO, my mission was to formulate the combined technology and business strategy for Chef’s next chapter. By driving expansion of the product portfolio through organic innovation, technology acquisition and adjacency identification, my team and I designed and delivered the enterprise automation stack of the future. In addition, I reformulated Chef's core OSS business model in a groundbreaking way that led to reignited revenue growth and positive financial performance. As a C-Level leader, I played an instrumental role in reshaping the company, identifying growth or liquidity options and preparing it for acquisition. Managed a direct team of 150+ that included the functions of Product, Engineering, Program Management and Operations and included a global engineering expansion to Belfast, Northern Ireland.

As VP, Open Platform & Product Experience, I managed a cross-functional team of 350+ and drove a cross company charter to transform Akamai's product portfolio into a highly integratabtle DevOps ready cloud offering across delivery, security and edge computing. With Akamai being a global company, I managed teams in North America, Europe and Asia and pioneered engineering expansion in multiple regions. Reporting directly to the President of Products and Development, my role set the technical and customer experience direction for all of Akamai's product lines. I built this vision and team from the ground up (0 to 1 to ∞) to being central to all product development over my tenure.

As a key member of the executive operating team I reported to the CEO, CTO and Executive VP.I fortified company position as the thought leader in Enterprise API Management and emerging Application Services Governance quadrants.I developed and shaped a strategy for M&A, partnerships and OEM relationships. In addition, I refined product and market strategy to simplify our product portfolio and external message.I was also responsible for supporting enterprise account growth through strategic partnerships with customers.

As a key operations executive at DataPower when acquired by IBM, I spent the first 4 years running the DataPower business through integration and growth from $12M to $200M in revenue. Following the successful scaling of the core DataPower business, I transitioned to reporting to VP Connectivity and Integration and Websphere CTO and IBM Fellow on Appliance and Application Optimization Strategy for IBM's Software Group division.I worked with sales, marketing, product line management, research division and business development (M&A) to define and execute strategic initiatives in the fast growing software/appliance realm.I created and evangelized strategic initiatives internally and externally.I defined next generation appliances and future of the appliance market industry wide.
