His designs have been featured in renowned retailers, including JC Penny, Macys, Hot Topic, Journeys, Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21, Target, Zumiez, Kohls, Walmart, and many others.Amidst the global pandemic in 2020, Corey recognized an opportunity to provide high-quality merch solutions for video game content creators, and thus founded High Score Tees. As an online e-commerce and design solution, the company offered creative design solutions for content creators, including branding, merchandise design / consultation, customer support, order fulfillment, store hosting, and more. High Score Tees opened up over 250 stores for various content creators and small organizations within the gaming space. However, Corey ultimately decided to step down from High Score Tees and returned to pursuing and growing his freelance business.In 2022, Corey formally launched his design studio, Mutant Lagoon LTD, alongside his wife, focusing on style guides, illustration, branding, pitch decks, merchandise capsule collections, motion graphics, and more. It was during this time that I founded Mutant Lagoon / Corey Thomas Design, which started as a side project and quickly became my full-time passion.Driven by my desire to explore new horizons, I relocated to the west coast of Sarasota, Florida, where I continued to build my own brand and freelance career. At Corey Thomas Design, I have created a specialty creative studio that is committed to delivering top-notch services in apparel design, licensed merchandise, logo design, branding, and illustration.
