About Corey Topp

Hey, I’m Corey. I’ve spent a good chunk of my life creating and marketing unique music events - founding companies such Reminisce, Sellout Digital, Tailgate Fest and now eventflo. Along the way, I’ve picked up a knack for generating hype and selling out events, mostly by leveraging digital platforms in ways that actually work.This passion for creating memorable experiences started early (I’m talking 10 years old, organizing epic birthday parties that would last for days - much to my Mum's despair). By 18, I was running events at a bunch of Melbourne’s nightspots and managing my own nightclub promotions company. I’ve always loved the energy that comes with pulling off a remarkable event.In 2011, I had an idea to tap into the connection between music and memories, which led to the first Reminisce event—a small house party where we all voted for our favorite tracks. Fast forward just a little bit, and Reminisce has grown into a full-scale, multi state festival with a hyper engaged community of thousands of house music lovers in Australia. It’s been a wild ride watching it evolve.As Reminisce expanded, I realised what were doing to sell out the events was a rinse and repeat formula. That’s where the Sellout Marketing System was born. It's since been used to help dozens of companies sell out hundreds of events via my agency Sellout Digital, generating over $95M in ticket revenue.Along the way, I’ve launched and sold out another festival called Tailgate, sold a couple of businesses, worked with brands like Live Nation, Crown Resorts, Transmission, Dreamstate, NAB and had the occasional feature in The Herald Sun, The Guardian, and a few others. But really, what I enjoy most is helping people turn their events into something unforgettable.That's why the latest project I have founded along with my partners, is by far our biggest yet. eventflo is our all-in-one ticketing, CRM, marketing automation and customer service platform that is built entirely on the blockchain and will be launching in late 2024 along with our native token FloCoin. At each event, we count down the Top 50 songs of all time in a specific dance music genre—voted entirely by the fans who attend. Using our proprietary voting software, fans pick their top 5 tracks, and we count down the top 50 in reverse order, all building up to that legendary #1 song.The heart of Reminisce is all about reliving those glory days when the only thing that mattered was the next weekend, the next festival, or the next rave—whether that was 2, 10, or even 20 years ago.What started as a simple house party in 2011 with me, Mark Middo, Sean Rault, and 30 friends has since turned into a must-attend annual event for house music lovers in Melbourne. After seven sold-out years at Prince and Circa, we teamed up with Hardware Group (the masterminds behind Stereosonic, Festival X, and Babylon) to take Reminisce to the next level.Now, our annual Reminisce Classic House event is a 10,000-strong festival at one of Melbourne’s most iconic venues, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl—and we’re gearing up for an Australian tour in 2024.We’re constantly rolling out new concepts like Reminisce Trance, Reminisce Decade of House, Reminisce Gay Anthems, and Reminisce R&B. They brought me on as Head of Social after seeing the success I had in scaling Reminisce and Road to Brazil.When I started, I was a team of one, responsible for building CrownBet’s social media presence from scratch. Over the next two and a half years, I scaled the team to 14 experts across acquisition, engagement, video production, content creation, and community management.During my time at CrownBet, we grew from a 2% social media share of engagement in the Australian wagering market to over 18%, taking market share directly from the industry leaders. We built an online fanbase of over 250,000 and acquired more than 16,000 new customers through social campaigns. This success was driven by creating viral content, generating over 3 million engagements on Facebook alone.Managing this rapid growth honed my ability to handle large-scale campaigns with high stakes and complex stakeholder environments. After realizing there wasn’t much quality content out there for Australian fans, I decided to create something that provided valuable info for those making the trip.The community blew up fast—we hit 3,500 followers in just two weeks, all thanks to a single $300 Facebook ad. As the following grew, I decided to take it a step further and create an event in Brazil specifically for Australian soccer fans. I got in touch with people on the ground, booked a venue, and used my event marketing system to sell it out. The result? A World Cup celebration attended by 1,000 Aussies, making it a one-of-a-kind experience.After the World Cup wrapped up, Road to Brazil was acquired by a prominent football news site, capping off an exciting project that combined my love for events and football.
