Attorney Volmering is highly dedicated to serving and fighting for his clients and their families. Corey’s areas of focus include: Divorce, Custody, Parenting Time, Child Support, Grand Parenting Time, Paternity, LGBTQ+ Law, Guardianship, & AdoptionAttorney Volmering graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, earning the Certificate of Merit Award in Drafting, Conflict of Laws, and Criminal Procedure. While in law school, Corey received multiple awards including 1st place team honors in the Local Mock Trial competition. He also spent time serving at the Access to Justice Clinic.After law school, Corey interned in the federal courts for Chief Judge Robert Jonker of the Western District of Michigan where he gained extensive experience researching law for numerous high-profile cases. Corey is a member of the Michigan, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo Bar Associations, with section memberships in Family Law and LGBTQ+ Law.Corey is from Hudsonville, Michigan. After high school, he acquired two undergraduate degrees from Grand Valley State University – a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic and Imaging Studies. He is also a veteran of the United States Air Force. In his free time, Corey enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with his husband, Tyler, and their two dogs Cooper and Fish.
