Most recently, I've been taking part in research focused on reconfigurable computing, edge computing, and deep neural networks. My goal is to work in the field of electronic design automation (EDA) and/or novel computer architecture, designing next-generation processing paradigms for various application domains. I would like to engineer novel technologies and architectures to address unique applications or current industry weaknesses. My research interests are in general, domain-specific, and dynamically reconfigurable computing architectures. For example, I am interested in learning how to implement programs and computations spatially (i.e., on an FPGA or other such reconfigurable substrate). This includes figuring out the optimal way to specify such algorithms, as well as developing the reconfigurable platforms and system architectures upon which the desired computations may be performed.Recently I have also been quite interested in managing models of computation so that a hardware or software designer can implement his or her algorithm without inserting implementation-specific details that make the design difficult to optimize and/or port to different architectures. I am currently performing research on this topic at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.Professionally, my work experience includes EDA tool development as well as FPGA RTL design, implementation, verification, and debugging. I also have experience in other software design paradigms. This has me working on the boundary of hardware and software to provide the best compute platform for the task at hand.I have lived in Israel for 7 years, and have been in Japan for over three years. As I am keenly interested in the cultures of both Israel and Japan, my background may be useful for companies wishing to bridge the Israel-Japan cultural divide.Specialties: FPGAs, RTL design, computer architecture, digital design, electronic design automation (EDA)
