Worked with a team of 8 ESL professionals across the state of Ohio to develop an Instructional Guide for Ohio’s new ELP standards. Wrote vignettes (sample activities) to demonstrate how content area teachers can include ELP objectives in lessons. Included differentiated lessons/instructional strategies for the 5 Levels of ELL students (ranging from beginner to proficient). Will participate in statewide professional development training for new ELP standards. Conducted state-wide professional development to teachers and administrators on the ELP Instructional GuideCo-facilitated SIOP training to administrators and teachers in Columbus and Cincinnati4 day long workshop on the the components of SIOPPresented by Center of Applied Linguistics, sponsored by Ohio Department of education Incorporated training on the Instructional Guide as a resource for educators implementing SIOP

Participated in the Teaching in Taiwan Program, sponsored by the Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and the Ohio Department of Education. The program placed licensed teachers in Taiwanese classrooms to provide English language instruction, develop curriculum, prepare lesson plans and teaching materials, conduct classes, and participate in school events. Co-taught with Taiwanese English Teachers in grades K-6.
