My first research position focused on Main Belt Asteroid Spectra. For this project, I processed spectral data of main belt asteroids via IDL and corrected the spectral data in reference to the thermal tail. This spectra was used to determine if an asteroid had water or hydroxide molecules present on the surface.My second research project dealt with sediment samples from Costa Rica. For this research, I constructed thin sections from scratch to be used under a microscope. These thin sections were used in the SEM for imagery of the glass particles. The samples were then used via EPMA for chemical analysis of the glass.
