I am a professor of HRM and people analytics at the University of Amsterdam Business School and the director of the Amsterdam People Analytics Centre (APAC), where we collaborate with companies in the area of people analytics. I conduct research in the area of strategic HRM and people analytics, I teach courses in the area of people analytics, leadership and management, and strategic HRM in several MSc and MBA programmes, and I am the co director of the honours programme Data Driven Management. I also speak for corporate audiences about strategic HRM, leveraging the power of data in organizations, how to increase business impact with people analytics, and how technology and AI change HRM and organizations.My research focuses primarily on HR systems, how and under which conditions strategic HRM affects employees and organizations, people analytics, and person-environment fit. My research has been published in journals including Journal of Management, Human Relations, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Managerial Psychology. I am an associate editor of Human Resource Management Review and I serve on the editorial boards of Journal of Management, Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Human Resource Management Journal.
