As member of a team of 3, I have a shared responsibility for the proper functioning of all software and hardware used within the company. My tasks are very diverse:Maintain and manage the LIMS system• adding new functionality• performing a risk analysis• mapping the billing process in LIMS in order to migrate the functionality to specific billing software• writing SOPs• improving Excel sheets (VBA, formulas) which are used to extract and analyze data in LIMSHandling helpdesk callsProviding support and advice in the process of selecting new softwareDescribing design specifications for the website and intranetSupervising an intern

• Creating microarray analyses using R/BioConductor. Aim of this project is to develop a more accurate understanding of the mechanisms that drive the inflammatory immune response towards progression to rheumatoid arthritis by identifying changes in biomarkers and cellular processes in lymph node tissue• Developing a Laboratory Information Management System. This database is used to store all R&D and preclinical data regarding the lead compounds. Activities: analysing business (laboratory) processes; writing requirements; configuring and testing LIMS software; creating reports with Crystal Reports; writing procedures and tutorials; providing training to users; managing the SQL server database; supervising a junior programmer• Improving, testing and validating the Digital Image Analysis software. This software is used for pharmaceutical/drug research. Other activities: creating adhoc analyses; providing training and support to users; writing procedures; technical management of the microscope; supervising a technician• Setting up and implementing environmental policy. Other activities: writing operating procedures; executing audits at AMC departments; developing access databases for the registration of hazardous chemicals and for the creation of laboratory labels for hazardous solutions• Performing general ICT-activities
