I am responsible for managing the charity’s mentoring programme.Programme management – I set up the administrative infrastructure to recruit volunteers and was responsible for writing the job descriptions, the mentor handbook and the related policies to ensure volunteers were clear on their role and responsibilities and felt safe delivering mentoring.Training – I designed and delivered essential training for the volunteer mentors. The training was well received. Five mentors have been trained so far.Mentor – I support young people in 1:1 sessions. Using my excellent communication skills I help my mentees explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours as well as giving them supportive techniques and strategies. Show less

Introduction to technology and family art and craftStakeholder engagement – I was part of the Hub steering group, working with external stakeholders and agencies to improve skills and employment in hard-to-reach demographics/areas. I forged meaningful professional relationships with people from different starting points. I produced marketing and pre-course information so that it was appropriately written and attractive to different people in the community.Data analysis – I monitored the achievement of learner and department targets.
