After successfully completing my dissertation, I look forward to continuing to actively support the project and using my expertise to drive forward the further development of the epigenetic drug candidate carbacitabine.

During my PhD, I worked on the synthesis of carbacitabine and modified it for various biological and analytical applications. The active substance, which is effective against leukemia, was not only convincing in cell studies but also in initial PDX mouse studies and showed a greater reduction in tumor burden compared to similar drugs.

As the CMC representative at EpiCure, a pioneering startup dedicated to developing epigenetic therapies for leukemia, I am responsible for the comprehensive management of all chemical, manufacturing, and control-related aspects of our product pipeline. My role involves overseeing the optimization and validation of production processes, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards, and maintaining the highest quality and efficacy of our therapeutic compound Carbacitabine.
