I recently graduated, which feels like the start of the stressful, yet exciting journey of discovering a career path. Although I cannot imagine my "dream job" or even what type of industry I will find myself fascinated in, I have a curious and determined mind that is ready to tackle any challenge in any field. I have a B.S. in biochemistry and I am passionate about research, the medical field, nutrition, the environment, sustainability, pharmaceuticals, and really anything science related. I am always excited to learn, and my undergraduate research for two years has sparked these interests. I have previously worked with green fluorescent protein (GFP) as a way to study gene expression of bacterial RNA thermometers. During my last semester of research, I helped the start of designing a method by which the Mitton-Fry lab can use RNA aptamers. Unrelated to science, another passion of mine is volleyball. I love the sport, not only because of the physical activity and my natural gift of height, but because of the team setting. I have made deep connections throughout the years with my teammates, and I am continuously learning from them as to how to be a better team player and leader. My love for the sport extends to coaching as well. It is incredibly rewarding to see children improve as players, communicators, and people, especially when you give them support, dedication, and a little elbow grease. I am excited to be able to expand my experience in a clinical setting and my connections to the pharmaceutical and clinical research industries at Celerion. I am eager to see how my role as a clinical conduct specialist will tie into my education, prior experience, and leadership skills as my career advances.
