Assistant TA for CHLH 260 (Medical Ethics). I run a discussion section along with a PhD student of around 30 students, where we do assignments and facilitate discussions about the Ethical Dilemmas taught in lecture while applying Ethical Theories, Principles, and Concepts.

Advisor: Professor Ed RoyResearch ways to harness the immune system to fight brain cancer. As Senior Undergrad, I am in charge of assigning tasks to other undergrads, scheduling lab meetings, deciding what days experiments will occur on, and training new undergrads.

Worked with children ranging from Kindergarden to seniors in High School. Taught basic reading and writing, basic math, and advanced math skills. Mentored a 4th grade student for 5 months.

Advisor: Ms. Marcia RenzettiPreformed daily laboratory maintenance tasks. Set up for both introductory and advanced chemistry labs that were used in the classroom setting. Made chemicals that were used in the lab daily.

Advisor: Mr Paul MarroneFollowing the Waksman Student Scholar Program, I assisted my teacher in teaching students in the Research in Molecular Genetics class in laboratory technique and basic biological concepts needed to understand the research. I taught students how to use a pipet, how to create an agarose gel, how PCR works, and many more things that were extremely important to the research we were preforming.

Used Polymerase Chain Reaction, Mini Preps, Restriction Digest, and Gel Electrophoresis to analyze the codingDNA (cDNA) of Wolffia australiana (duckweed). Analyzed coding protein sequences and published them to NCBI. Ongoing research will be in the use of Wolffia australiana for a source of biofuel or in bioremediation.
