Oversight of accommodation at the oldest of the Cambridge Colleges, which has a large housing portfolio within the city centre.Management of student accommodation as well as off-site properties used for external tenancies. Leadership of large housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness around the College as well as monitoring of necessary maintenance works as they arise.Development of new database/booking system to improve systems of allocating accommodation, rent-billing, inventory-tracking, as well as more accessible sharing of information about resources to all stakeholders.Improvement of the rent structure to clarify and simplify the system.Collaborative working with students, staff, and Fellows. This inlcudes implementing a termly Accommodation Forum to share strategy and set targets for development/improvement; regular safeguarding meetings; and participation in a Covid response group to ensure safe working practices through the pandemic.Oversight of ANUK compliance with engagement from other Heads of Department to ensure safe and appropriate accommodation for students.Improvement of accessibility within College including development a new accessible studio, welfare, and supervision room. Liaison with Accessable to develop online information for students and visitors to the College to enable pre-planning of visits.Improvement of sustainability in College through initiatives such as recycle schemes and carbon accounting.Auditing accommodation to develop refurbishment priorities over the short and long term. Management of a housekeeping budget for routine improvements and a small works budget for larger tasks (such as overseeing bathroom and kitchen refurbishments).Leadership of a large team ensuring a positive and productive approach to areas of responsibility.
